The Slovak-Hungarian trio featuring Miro Tóth, vital improviser, composer and Visegrad region’s improv scene sound nomad, is a follow-up on his successful collaboration with Hungarian musicians from the Funeral Marching Band. The current project of meta-genre variations sees him break away from funeral melodies and return to the absolute free-jazz openness and experimentation without boundaries, themes and forms. The drummer Aron Portoleki and accordionist Adam Moser will be joined by Tóth’s saxophone and characteristic vocal performance. Be prepared to encounter three-string viola, bagpipes, electronics, accordina, and other obscure objects on the stage. Thisnis debut album Variationes Calvariae Locus is now out on Meteorismo.
